July 20, 2013

Thank goodness we cooled the house down.  That'll teach me to not go too long without the ac on in here!
We had a good day.  Cody woke up feeling pain in his left side.  We called the dr right away and he said to take pain meds and if it gets worse to call back.  Cody was up around 9 as I know he was worried.
His uncle from PA and cousin from Charlotte came to visit today.  We picked them up at the train and had a nice lunch then they came back here.  Cody wanted to take his cousin for a ride in the mini. I know Cody was happy to see them.  It was nice of them to make the trip, long train ride from PA.  Then our good friend, Moira brought Xena back.  You really could tell she missed Cody. They both are staying close to him.  They know.  We ended up watching a movie with her and then went to get something to eat.  We just got pizza as TGIF's was too crowded.
I am attaching some pics from the past week.

  1. Mary,

I think you are both amazing. You keep it together for one another and have such love and faith. I am glad that your family is coming to see you constantly and that you find movies a welcome relief. Tyler loved Scrubs probably because it is hospital based, perhaps Cody would too. We also loved watching Monty Python shows and anything else silly. Also try Mystery Science Theater 3000 if you can enjoy bad science fiction movies and commentary.

I hold you both in my heart and hope for Cody''s health to be restored.

    Xoxo,
    Diane

  2. Hi Diane, I remember when we first shared a room with you and Tyler and you were both all comfy watching movies. They def pass the time. We look for humor. I will stock up. He loves Adam Sandler and Will Ferrell ones so there are plenty of those to watch. We have quite a few but you can never have enough movies..we never tried NetFlix so might have to do that.
His friend that is a girl but not a 'girlfriend' is coming over today so watch movies. I will visit with friends and get groceries. He is just feeling wiped out and hoping the nausea stays away.
    Thanks for your sweet notes...xoxoxoxox
